Casualties reported in hospital attack in China’s Yunnan province

Attack reported in southwestern China's Zhenxiong county of Yunnan province bordering civil war-hit Myanmar

ISTANBUL (AA) – Several casualties were reported in an alleged attack on a hospital in southwestern China on Tuesday, state media reported.

No other details of the attack which was reported in Yunnan province are available.

“As of 1:20 pm (0520GMT) on Tuesday, more than 10 casualties were reported in a hospital attack in Zhenxiong county, southwest China's Yunnan province,” Xinhua News reported, citing a local authority.

The province of Yunnan borders Myanmar where a civil war is ongoing.

Last December, several people were injured in Yunnan in cross border shelling from Myanmar, where rebels are fighting the junta regime.
