Casualties reported in Israeli overnight raids across Gaza as its onslaught enters day 293

ANKARA (AA) - Several Palestinians were killed and injured in Israeli overnight raids across the Gaza Strip as the Israeli deadly onslaught enters its day 293, local media reported on Thursday.

The Palestinian official news agency Wafa reported that four Palestinians were killed and others injured including women and children in an Israeli airstrike on the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City.

Other Palestinians were also injured in an airstrike on a home for the Abu Jayyab family in the Beach refugee camp, western Gaza City.

The Israeli tanks opened fire on the homes of Palestinians in the eastern areas of the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of the city, Wafa also reported.

In the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, seven people were injured, most of them children, in an airstrike on a home for the Abu Gharqoud family.

In the southern Gaza Strip, the Israeli artillery continued to heavily strike areas across the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah.

The Health Ministry is yet to give details on the casualties resulting from the Israeli shelling as the Israeli military ground offensive continues across both southern cities.

Flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7 attack by Hamas.

More than 39,100 Palestinians have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 90,000 injured, according to local health authorities.

Over nine months into the Israeli onslaught, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water, and medicine.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
