China issues travel advisory for citizens visiting US amid tariff war

ISTANBUL (AA) - China on Wednesday issued a travel advisory for its citizens visiting the US, citing "deterioration of China-US economic and trade relations and the domestic security situation."

In the advisory, the Culture and Tourism Ministry said that Chinese tourists planning to travel to the US should "fully assess the risks" and "travel with caution."

The advisory came after China raised tariffs on all imports from the US to 84% after US President Donald Trump raised reciprocal tariffs on imports from China to 104%.

Beijing also filed a lawsuit with the World Trade Organization (WTO) over the tariffs and added six US firms to the "unreliable entity list," and 12 other US entities to the export control list.
