China witnesses warmest autumn since records began in 1961
Average temperature recorded on Sept. 1-Nov. 30 11.8 degrees Celsius, 1.5 C higher than past years

ANKARA (AA) - China has recorded its warmest autumn since the complete meteorological records began in 1961, according to local media on Wednesday.
The average nationwide temperature recorded from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, was 11.8 degrees Celsius (53.4 Fahrenheit), which is 1.5C (34.7F) higher than the average of the same period in the past years, reported state-run Xinhua News, citing the National Climate Center.
The country’s central, eastern, southwestern, and northwestern regions experienced average temperatures that were 2-4C higher during the period compared to the previous years.
Higher precipitation was also recorded during the same period as five of the total nine thunderstorms were caused by typhoons.
The center forecasts that temperatures in most parts of the country will be close to or higher than the average of previous years.
