China’s Xi hosts Bahrain’s King Al Khalifa in Beijing

ISTANBUL (AA) - China’s President Xi Jinping on Friday hosted Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for official talks in Beijing.

Al Khalifa is on a state visit to China where he also attended the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum on Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Tunisian President Kais Saied, and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also attended the forum.

The four Arab leaders were on state visit to China.

This year, China and Bahrain celebrate 35 years of diplomatic ties which have been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
