Clashes continue between Arab tribes, YPG/PKK terrorists in eastern Syria

Arab tribes liberate 33 villages from YPG/PKK terrorists since Aug. 27

AZAZ, Syria (AA) – Clashes continued on Tuesday between Arab tribes and the YPG/PKK terrorist group in Syria’s eastern Deir ez-Zor province, according to local sources.

YPG/PKK terrorists mobilized their forces late Monday in an attempt to recapture the villages of Shuhail and Ziban from Arab tribes, the sources said.

“Clashes are raging in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor,” the sources said.

Arab tribes have so far managed to liberate 33 villages from the YPG/PKK terrorists in Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Hasakah provinces and the Manbij district of Aleppo since last week.

YPG/PKK terrorists use US weapons and vehicles in their clashes with Arab tribes, according to local sources.

Arabs make up the entire population of Deir ez-Zor, which the terror group occupied under the pretext of fighting Daesh/ISIS with the support of the US military.

The terrorist group is also forcibly recruiting Arabs and other children in the regions it occupies, as documented by reports by the UN and human rights groups.

The terrorists generate income by selling the oil they obtained by seizing oil wells in the region to Damascus through smugglers despite US sanctions. While the terror group uses this income for its own purposes, the people of the region are deprived of local services and much-needed aid.
