Croatia to dissolve parliament by March 22 to pave way for general elections: Premier
Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic says general elections to be held between last week of April, first week of May to elect new members of 151-seat National Assembly

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - The Croatian parliament will be dissolved by March 22 to pave the way for general elections ahead of the European Parliament polls, the country’s prime minister said.
Plenkovic said the general elections in the country will be held between the last week of April and the first week of May to elect the new members of the 151-seat National Assembly.
The official date for the general elections will be announced by President Zoran Milanovic.
Elections in Croatia must be held no later than 60 days after the parliament is dissolved.
Center-right Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), led by Plenkovic, declared victory in the general elections in both 2016 and 2020.
