GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) — Several Palestinians were killed, while others were injured on Saturday in a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on the Gaza Strip on the 211th day of Israel's offensive.
Three Palestinians, including two children, were killed in a strike targeting the home of the Sheikh al-Eid family east of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, medical sources told Anadolu.
Four Palestinians were also killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house belonging to the Abu al-Ainin family on Falouja Street in the Al-Jenina neighborhood east of Rafah, according to medical sources.
According to eyewitnesses and local sources, two Palestinians were killed and others were injured when Israeli warplanes targeted a house belonging to the Balbisi family east of Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Israeli warplanes further targeted an uninhabited house belonging to the Jabr family in the Al-Mufti area north of the Nuseirat refugee camp without causing any injuries.
In Gaza City, civil defense teams recovered five bodies, including two women and three children, along with several injured. Three bodies remained under the rubble of a house belonging to the Al-Hurani family, which was targeted by Israeli warplanes near the Al-Shanti area in the north of the Gaza Strip.
Israel has waged a deadly military offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7 Hamas incursion, which killed less than 1,200 people.
Tel Aviv, in comparison, has killed more than 34,600 Palestinians and wounded over 77,900 amid mass destruction and shortages of necessities in the Palestinian territory.
Nearly seven months into the Israeli onslaught, vast swathes of Gaza lay in ruins, pushing 85% of the enclave’s population into internal displacement besides a crippling blockade on food, clean water, and medicine, according to the UN.
Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which in January issued an interim ruling that ordered Tel Aviv to prevent genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
