ISTANBUL (AA) - The death toll from Monday’s Russian airstrikes on several cities in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region rose to six, local authorities said on Tuesday.

Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhiy Lysak said on Telegram that the body of a third child was found under the rubble in the city of Kryvyi Rih, raising the number of those killed in the strike to four.

“The search and rescue operation has been completed,” Lysak added.

Earlier, Lysak said that the bodies of a woman and two children were found overnight under the rubble at the site of the attack, which targeted a five-story building in the city.

Apartments between the first and fifth levels were destroyed, Lysak said, adding that 14 people were injured in the attack.

Amid reports from Kryvyi Rih, Lysak also wrote about airstrikes on the cities of Nikopol and Marhanets that killed two people and injured five others.

Two of those injured are in serious condition, Lysak said, adding that a medical facility, an industrial enterprise, two educational institutions, and three high-rise buildings were damaged in the attack.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed in a statement that its forces damaged military airfield infrastructure, workshops, storage facilities, a missile testing site, and a logistics center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during airstrikes, without specifically mentioning the strikes in Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol.
