ANKARA – TurkStat to announce Türkiye’s industrial production data, unemployment rate for September. Jobless rate in Türkiye dropped to 9.2% in August, the lowest since January 2014. Industrial output grew 3.1% year-on-year in August, slowing from over a year high of 7.6% hike in September. On a monthly basis, industrial output decreased 0.8% in August.

WASHINGTON – Interview with Ashish Prashar, a man who was attacked in broad daylight in the US for apparently wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh scarf.

Prashar, a political strategist who once served as a specialist on US President Joe Biden’s 2020 election campaign, posted video of the apparent hate attack on Instagram and it has since gone viral.

Prashar, whose family is from India, narrates the incident that happened at Edmonds Playground in Brooklyn, New York, which involved a Jewish American woman who shouted vulgarities and threw her phone at the man, who was with his 18-month-old son.

He speaks about the rise in such incidents in the US, warning that it is “symptomatic of dehumanization that is taking place as a result of what’s happening in Gaza.”
