Pakistani foreign minister flies to New York for UN Security Council meeting

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar flies to New York for a UN Security Council meeting. He will preside over the quarterly open debate at the council on the “Situation in the Middle East including the Palestinian Question.” He is also expected to have several bilateral engagements with his counterparts while in the US besides meeting senior UN officials.


Filipino president visits US for tariff talks

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. travels to the US to meet President Donald Trump as the Southeast Asian nation faces 20% tariffs on exports to the world’s largest economy. The two are also expected to discuss security situation in the Asia-Pacific as Manila is oldest military ally of Washington in the region.
