Disruptions expected as train drivers go on strike in UK
Some train operators also subject to imposed overtime ban until end of Tuesday

LONDON (AA) - Rail transportation is expected to be disrupted in the UK as train drivers on Monday went on a 24-hour strike over pay and work conditions.
The strike was called by the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) and has affected four rail operators -- Great Western, CrossCountry, Chiltern, and Heathrow Express.
Monday's strike is one of the series of walkouts announced by the union last month due to a long-running dispute over pay and work conditions.
Some of these train operators are also subject to an imposed overtime ban until the end of Tuesday.
National Rail warned passengers of "significant disruption," advised them to plan ahead and check before travelling.
Earlier, Mick Whelan, general secretary of the union, said they are determined to "win this dispute," and get a significant pay rise for train drivers who have not had an increase since 2019 while the cost of living, in that time, has soared.
