ISTANBUL (AA) - The March 30 Movement in the Netherlands filed a criminal complaint against a Dutch citizen serving in the Israeli army.
The movement, represented by attorney Haroon Raza, formally lodged a complaint against Leah Rachmani on Thursday.
"I filed a complaint against this person for active participation in the war in Gaza as part of the IDF … making her a person who must be investigated for war crimes," Haroon Raza told Anadolu on Friday.
The complaint was submitted to the National Dutch Prosecutors Office, he added.
"We received confirmation from the prosecutor of its receipt," Raza said.
The March 30 Movement also lodged a complaint against Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, he said.
The March 30 Movement, established by activists in Europe, emerged in response to the latest developments in Gaza.
Israel has pounded the Gaza Strip since an Oct. 7 Hamas attack. The ensuing Israeli attack had killed at least 28,663 and caused mass destruction and shortages of necessities.
Less than 1,200 Israelis are believed to have been killed in the Hamas attack.
The Israeli war on Gaza has pushed 85% of the territory's population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60% of the enclave's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.
Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which in an interim ruling this January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
