THE HAGUE (AA) - A protest was held in the Netherlands on Thursday against the killing of a woman by officers of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the state of Minnesota.

A group of demonstrators gathered in front of Europe House in The Hague for a protest titled, "International Vigil of Solidarity with ICE Victims."

During speeches at the demonstration, US immigration policies were strongly criticized.

Carrying placards that read, "Inhumane, conscienceless and evil", "Stop the war on immigrants" and "Let love rule the world," protesters chanted slogans such as "Abolish ICE" and "No to ICE, no to fascist USA."

Candles and roses were placed on the ground in memory of migrants who lost their lives.

The protest concluded with a march after the names of those killed by ICE in 2025 and 2026 were read aloud.

The shooting occurred Jan. 7, when ICE agent Jonathan Ross fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, an American, during an immigration enforcement operation in south Minneapolis.

The shooting triggered widespread protests, memorials and demands for accountability, with local leaders condemning ICE actions and federal officials defending the agent's response as self-defense.
