Earthquake shakes parts of India, Bangladesh
No loss of life or property reported in 5.2 magnitude earthquake

ANKARA (AA) – Tremors were felt in parts of northeastern India and neighboring Bangladesh on Monday evening, officials said.
India's National Center for Seismology wrote on X that an earthquake of 5.2 magnitude occurred on Monday at local time 6:15 p.m. (1245GMT) with the epicenter in the North Garo Hills in the Indian northeastern state of Meghalaya at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
The tremors were also felt in some parts of neighboring states, according to local news agency Press Trust of India.
There has been no report of loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake.
Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, and some other parts of the country on Monday evening felt a mild earthquake at about 6:47 pm local time.
No damages or casualties were reported immediately.
