Egypt, Armenia explore ways to boost relations
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on 2-day visit to Egypt

CAIRO (AA) – The prime ministers of Egypt and Armenia held talks in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Wednesday to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
“Egypt is keen on expanding its economic and trade ties with Armenia,” Mostafa Madbouly said during a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan.
In 2022, the trade volume between Egypt and Armenia increased to $44.6 million, up from $22.8 million in 2021, according to the Armenian Embassy in Cairo.
Pashinyan, for his part, said he looks forward to the holding of a joint committee between Armenia and Egypt to bolster their economic and scientific cooperation, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Cabinet.
On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi held talks with Pashinyan during his two-day visit to Cairo.
During the meeting, al-Sisi said Egypt is ready to share its expertise with Armenia in infrastructure, construction, transportation, and energy generation, according to the Egyptian media.
