In 2022, the trade volume between Egypt and Armenia increased to $44.6 million, up from $22.8 million in 2021, according to the Armenian Embassy in Cairo.

Pashinyan, for his part, said he looks forward to the holding of a joint committee between Armenia and Egypt to bolster their economic and scientific cooperation, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Cabinet.

On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi held talks with Pashinyan during his two-day visit to Cairo.

During the meeting, al-Sisi said Egypt is ready to share its expertise with Armenia in infrastructure, construction, transportation, and energy generation, according to the Egyptian media.
