CAIRO, (AA) - The Egyptian Red Crescent Society said on Friday that three local hospitals in North Sinai are ready to accept injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip once a safe humanitarian corridor is established.

Khaled Zayed, the head of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society in North Sinai, told Anadolu: “We have hospitals in Al-Arish, Sheikh Zuweid, and Bir Al-Abd, and are ready to receive patients as soon as they are allowed to pass through the Rafah crossing.”

Zayed said that 2 tons of relief and medical aid provided from Egypt entered the Gaza Strip on the second day of the conflict, in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent, before any disruption to the crossing.

He said that many humanitarian aid supplies have arrived and stored on the Egyptian side.

He explained that the Egyptian Red Crescent received 12 tons of relief supplies and medicines from the Jordanian Charity Organization on Thursday.

Zayed continued: "Today, Friday morning, we received a plane from the Turkish Red Crescent loaded with 24 tons of medical and food supplies and blankets, and currently 26.5 tons of aid have arrived (in a second plane) as a result of the cooperation between the Egyptian Red Crescent and its Turkish counterpart."
