EU annual inflation rate stable in October
Annual inflation rate in EU27 countries last month was 0.3%, according to Eurostat

ANKARA (AA) – Consumer prices in the EU climbed 0.3% year-on-year in October, the bloc’s statistics office said on Wednesday.
The 27-member bloc’s annual inflation rate last month remained unchanged from September, according to Eurostat.
The figure was 1.1% in October 2019, it said.
Compared with a month earlier, annual inflation fell in 15 member states, increased in 10, and remained stable in two.
The lowest rate was seen in Greece at minus 2%, followed by Estonia and Ireland with minus 1.7% and minus 1.5%, respectively.
Poland (3.8%), Hungary (3.0%), and the Czech Republic (2.9%) posted the highest inflation rates in October.
The Eurostat data showed that the eurozone’s inflation rate was minus 0.3% in October, also stable from the previous month but down from 0.7% last year.
The eurozone/euro area, or EA19, represents member states that use the single currency – euro – while EU27 includes all member countries of the bloc.
