EU car sales continue falling in February amid supply disruptions
With 719,465 passenger cars sold across 27-member bloc, February sees weakest figure ever, according to latest data

ANKARA (AA) - Passenger car sales in the EU continued falling for the eighth consecutive month in February due to ongoing supply chain disruptions, a producer group said on Thursday.
New car registrations declined by 6.7% year-on-year, hitting its weakest level ever with 719,465 units in February, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) said in a statement.
Among four major markets, Italy and France recorded double digit losses with 22.6% and 13.0%, respectively. Spain and Germany saw growth of 6.6% and 3.2%, respectively.
In January-February, car registrations in the 27-member bloc declined by 6.4% compared to a year ago to 1.5 million.
