EU to soon decide on suspending trade deal with Israel

MADRID (AA) - EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Thursday that the bloc will soon decide whether to suspend a trade agreement with Israel.

Borrell told reporters ahead of a NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels that the bloc discussed a review of trade agreements with Israel, which Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar requested in a letter to EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
