Euro area consumer confidence hits 11-month high
Consumer confidence indicator for eurozone improves 1.1 points month-on-month, flash data shows

ANKARA (AA) – Consumer confidence in the euro area rose to a 11-month high in January, according to preliminary data released on Monday.
The flash consumer confidence indicator rose 1.1 points month-on-month to minus 20.9 in January, the European Commission data showed.
The figure was slightly worse than the market estimate of minus 20.
Consumer confidence in the EU rose 1.4 points from a month ago to minus 22.4 in January.
