European exchanges close lower

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed with losses Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was down 1.81 points, or 0.37%, at 483.86.

The UK’s FTSE 100 declined 8.41 points, or 0.11%, to close at 7,622. Germany’s DAX 30 lost 44 points, or 0.26%, to 16,859.

France’s CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, diving 68 points, or 0.89%, to finish the session at 7,588.

Italy’s FTSE MIB dropped 55 points, or 0.18%, to end the day at 30,689. Spain’s IBEX 35 fell 63 points, or 0.63%, to 10,014 at the closing bell.
