European exchanges close mixed

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed mixed on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 0.49 point, or 0.1%, to finish nearly flat at 491.90.

The UK's FTSE 100 lost 9.29 points, or 0.12%, to end the session at 7,719. Germany's DAX 30 lost 23 points, or 0.14%, to 17,068.

Italy's FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose 25 points, or 0.08%, to close at 31,701.

France's CAC 40 increased 26 points, or 0.34%, to close at 7,795.

Spain's IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, rising 93 points, or 0.94%, to end the day at 10,038.
