European exchanges close mixed

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed mixed on Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 1.74 points, or 0.35%, to finish essentially flat at 494.59.

The UK's FTSE 100 declined 58 points, or 0.76%, to end the session at 7,624.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, decreased 45 points, or 0.45%, to 10,068. Italy's FTSE MIB lost 88 points, or 0.27%, to 32,617.

Germany's DAX 30, on the other hand, rose 44 points, or 0.25%, to close at 17,601. France's CAC 40 increased almost six points, or 0.08%, to 7,954.
