European exchanges close Thursday mixed

UK’s FTSE falls 0.44%; France’s CAC performs best with 0.71% gain

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed mixed on Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was down just 0.36 point, or 0.07%, to finish the day flat at 485.27.

The UK’s FTSE 100 declined 33 points, or 0.44%, to end the session at 7,595.

Germany’s DAX 30, on the other hand, increased 41 points, or 0.25%, to finish at 16,963.

Italy’s FTSE MIB rose 88 points, or 0.28%, to 31,064. Spain’s IBEX 35 added 17 points, or 0.17%, to close at 9,905.

France’s CAC 40, meanwhile, was the best performer of the day, increasing 54 points, or 0.71%, to 7,665.
