European exchanges close Tuesday lower

Spain’s IBEX performs worst, plummeting 1.46%

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed with losses on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was down 0.92 point, or 0.19%, at 477.26.

The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 10 points, or 0.13%, to close at 7,683. Germany’s DAX 30 lost 28 points, or 0.17%, to finish the day at 16,688.

France’s CAC 40 lost 23 points, or 0.32%, to 7,426. Italy’s FTSE MIB dropped 161 points, or 0.53%, to end the day at 30,408.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 148 points, or 1.46%, to 10,060 at the closing bell.
