European exchanges close Tuesday with losses

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges finished Tuesday with losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 2.8 points, or 0.54%, to close at 517.05.

The UK's FTSE 100 lost 30 points, or 0.37%, to 8,232. Germany's DAX also shed 202 points, or 1.09%, to 18,405.

France's CAC 40 decreased 60 points, or 0.75%, to end the session at 7,937.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 394 points, or 1.14%, to 34,276.

Spain's IBEX 35 declined 110 points, or 0.97%, to end the day at 11,286.
