European exchanges close with gains

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed with gains Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 1.29 points, or 0.26%, to finish at 505.23.

The UK's FTSE 100 rose 15 points, or 0.2%, to close at 7,738 and Germany's DAX 30 added 54 points, or 0.31%, to 17,987.

France's CAC 40 increased 52 points, or 0.65%, to reach 8,201 at the final bell.

Italy's FTSE MIB was up 321 points, or 0.95%, to end the session at 34,262.

Spain's IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, rising 104 points, or 0.99%, to finish at 10,701.
