European stock exchanges close mixed

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed mixed Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up just 0.47 point, or 0.1%, to finish flat at 453.63.

The UK's FTSE 100 was the best performer of the day, rising 24 points, or 0.32%, to 7,644. Italy's FTSE MIB increased 74 points, or 0.26%, to end the day at 28,419.

Germany's DAX 30, on the other hand, fell almost 35 points, or 0.23%, to close at 15,425.

France's CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, trimming 26 points, or 0.37%, to finish at 7,104.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, decreased 24 points, or 0.26%, to close the session at 9,336.
