European stock markets close mixed

ANKARA (AA) - Major European stock exchanges closed mixed Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 1.31 points, or 0.30%, to finish at 433.36.

Italy's FTSE MIB climbed 22.96 points, or 0.10%, to 22,454.

Germany's DAX 30 added 51.9 points, or 0.39%, to close at 13,271.

The UK's FTSE 100 ended a three-session losing streak, rising 8.23 points, or 0.11%, to finish at 7,479.

Spain's IBEX 35, on the other hand, was down 11.9 points, or 0.15%, to a three-week low of 8,187 at the closing bell. France's CAC 40 also fell 5.2 points, or 0.08%, to 6,381.
