European stocks close higher

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed higher Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, rose 3.15 points, or 0.7%, to finish at 456.05.

The UK's FTSE 100 added 39 points, or 0.52%, to end the session at 7,500. Germany's DAX rose 102 points, or 0.64%, to 15,949.

France's CAC 40 was the best performer of the day, soaring 70 points, or 0.98%, to close at 7,286.

Italy's FTSE MIB, meanwhile, increased 236 points, or 0.86%, to 27,637.

Spain's IBEX 35 added 88 points, or 0.94%, to end the day at 9,481.
