European stocks close higher except UK, Germany

FTSE 100 down 0.26%, DAX 30 declines 0.03%

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed in positive territory Wednesday except for the UK and Germany's exchanges.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 1.07 points, or 0.23%, at 457.53.

France's CAC 40 rose 6 points, or 0.09%, to 7,083. Italy's FTSE MIB rose 71 points, or 0.27%, to 26,052.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, added 42 points, or 0.48%, to close at 8,933.

The UK's FTSE 100, on the other hand, fell 20 points, or 0.26%, to end the session at 7,830.

Germany's DAX 30 fell 5 points, or 0.03%, to finish at 15,181.
