European stocks close in positive territory

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed in positive territory Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up 0.79 points, or 0.16%, at 485.63.

The UK’s FTSE 100 rose 33 points, or 0.44%, to 7,666 and Germany’s DAX 30 added 30 points, or 0.18%, to finish the day at 16,972.

France’s CAC 40 was up 36 points, or 0.48%, to end the session at 7,677.

Italy’s FTSE MIB jumped 389 points, or 1.29%, to 30,623 at the closing bell.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, adding 149 points, or 1.51%, to 10,039.
