European stocks close Wednesday with gains

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed Wednesday with gains.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, rose 4.14 points, or 0.91%, to finish at 460.66.

The UK's FTSE 100 increased 71 points, or 0.93%, to end the session at almost 7,731.

Germany's DAX rose 117 points, or 0.75%, to 15,781. France's CAC 40 added 48 points, or 0.67%, to close at 7,330.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 471 points, or 1.64%, to end the day at 29,229.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, increased 118 points, or 1.24%, to finish the session at 9,645.
