European stocks lower at close except Germany

Germany's DAX 30 gains 0.1%; UK's FTSE 100 performs worst, diving 0.677

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed lower Wednesday except in Germany.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 0.62 points, or 0.14%, to finish at 440.08.

The UK's FTSE 100 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 57 points, or 0.77%, to end the session at 7,412.

France's CAC 40 fell just 0.32 points to remain flat at 6,996. Italy's FTSE MIB declined 46 points, or 0.17%, to close at 27,435.

Madrid’s IBEX 35, meanwhile, decreased 62 points, or 0.68%, to end the day at 9,102.

Germany's DAX 30, on the other hand, rose 14 points, or 0.1%, to finish the session at almost 15,100.
