European stocks rally to close with 2% gains

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks rallied Tuesday to close the session with around 2% gains each.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up 8.69 points, or 1.96%, at 452.48.

The UK’s FTSE 100 increased 136 points, or 1.82%, to close at 7,628. Germany’s DAX 30 rose 295 points, or 1.95%, to finish the day at 15,423.

France’s CAC 40 added 141 points, or 2.01%, to 7,162, while Spain’s IBEX 35 jumped 200 points, or 2.19%, to end at 9,352.

Italy’s FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 636 points, or 2.3%, to 28,318 at the closing bell.
