Eurozone posts foreign trade surplus of $13.2B in September
Exports of euro area up 0.6% year-on-year in September, imports down 0.6%

ISTANBUL (AA) - The euro area posted a foreign trade surplus of €12.5 billion ($13.2 billion) in September, versus €9.8 billion in September 2023, according to Eurostat on Monday.
The euro area exports of goods totaled €237.8 billion in September, up 0.6% compared with September 2023; while imports stood at €225.3 billion, a fall of 0.6%.
From January to September 2024, the euro area recorded a surplus of €140.8 billion, versus €13.9 billion in January-September 2023.
The euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world rose to €2.14 trillion, while imports fell to €1.99 trillion.
The EU balance showed a €9.6 billion surplus in trade in September 2024, compared with €7.3 billion in September 2023.
The EU's exports of goods in September were €212.6 billion, up by 0.8% on a yearly basis while imports totaled €203.1 billion, down by 0.3%.
