French general practitioner suspended for sharing Macron's vaccination certificate on social media

PARIS (AA) - French general practitioner Michael Rochoy was given a 15-day suspension Tuesday for sharing President Emmanuel Macron's vaccination certificate on social media, according to the French Egora website.
The website, which covers health-related topics, said the Doctors' Association in the Hauts-de-France region suspended the physician in the northern city of Outreau, for researching and sharing Macron's vaccination certificate in 2021 to demonstrate that patients’ personal could be easily accessed.
The suspension from Nov. 1 - 16, will force Rochoy to cancel 42 patients’ appointments during that period, causing disruptions in health care routines.
The Doctors' Association justified the punishment and said Rochoy had "violated ethical obligations" by his actions.
Rochoy had researched Macron's vaccination certificate and, in a social media statement, explained how health care workers could easily access the information of any patient by using their names, surnames and date of birth.
He shared screenshots from Macron's vaccination file to demonstrate.
