French high schools join university demonstrations in support of Palestine
Protesting students demand immediate cease-fire in Gaza, recognition of Palestinian state

Supporting protesting university students, high school students in France on Monday staged demonstrations, demanding an immediate cease-fire in Gaza and recognition of the Palestinian state.
Students from dozens of high schools took out rallies in solidarity with Palestinians upon the call of the High School Union (USL).
French high schools were "besieged for peace," USL Vice President Manes Nadel announced on X.
Nadel stressed the responsibility of French high school students to take action against Israel's attacks on Rafah and urged them to continue their demonstrations tomorrow.
Palestinian Rima Hassan, nominated by the Unbowed France party (LFI) for the European Parliament elections, also supported the high school activists.
Hassan and LFI deputy Louis Boyard visited the Blaise Cendrars High School in the Seine-Saint-Denis suburb of Paris, showing solidarity with the students.
Many French universities, including Sciences Po and Sorbonne, are staging demonstrations in solidarity with Palestinians following pro-Palestine protests in the US.
