Germany's unemployment rate at 2.8% in December

ISTANBUL (AA) - Germany's unemployment rate was at 2.8% in December, down from 3.2% in November, official figures showed on Tuesday.

According to the data revealed by Destatis, the number of unemployed people decreased by 132,000 year-on-year in the final month of 2022.

The number of employed people in the country was 45.9 million as of November, up by 45,000 versus October.

Destatis added that this figure was up by 0.1% monthly and 1% on yearly in November.
