Germany's unemployment rate up to 3% in September

ISTANBUL (AA) - Unemployment was at 3% in Germany in September, up from 2.9% in the same month last year, the country's statistical authority said on Thursday.

Around 1.3 million persons were unemployed in the country as of the end of September, up by 48,000 persons or 3.7% on a yearly basis, Destatis said.

Meanwhile, 46 million persons living in the country were employed in September, up 0.6% year-on-year.
