Gina Carano sues Disney for removal from cast

American actress Gina Carano, who was removed from The Mandalorian television series on antisemitism allegations, filed a lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm.

"Today is an important day for me," Carano wrote Tuesday on X, where she provided details about what transpired.

The actress said the expressions she used in a post on X, which were alleged by Disney and Lucasfilm to be antisemitic in nature, were distorted to "demonize and dehumanize."

"I would like to express my deepest gratitude and thank you to Elon Musk and X for giving me an opportunity to bring my case to light," she said, noting Musk's pledge to offer legal assistance to everyone who was fired due to the nature of their posts on X.
