Greece sees rise in coronavirus intubations
More than 4,000 new infections, 93 additional deaths reported

ATHENS (AA) - Greek authorities on Tuesday reported a record number of coronavirus intubations in the last 24 hours.
A total of 802 patients remain intubated, the highest in 2021, while 4,033 new cases of the virus were recorded.
The virus load in the Attica region remains high, with 1,812 infections of the total registered in the region.
Greece’s official COVID-19 tally surged to 301,103 since the start of the pandemic with a daily change of +1.4%, according to the National Public Health Organization.
Ninety three people were added to the death toll on Tuesday, pushing the fatalities to 9,054.
According to health authorities, 458 COVID-19 patients were admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours. The average admission of patients with COVID-19 to hospitals in the last seven days was 520.
Earlier this month, the government announced the reopening of the retail sector with "click away" and "click in shop" methods that were previously used, while a nationwide nighttime curfew was pushed to 9 p.m. on weekends, instead of 7 p.m.
