Greek Supreme Court charges 11 far-right lawmakers with election fraud
Imprisoned neo-Nazi politician Ilias Kasidiaris directed lawmakers unbeknownst to leader of their far-right Spartan party, says prosecutor

ATHENS (AA) - Eleven far-right members of Greece's parliament and a jailed former lawmaker who was a leading member of a banned neo-Nazi group will face charges of electoral fraud brought by prosecutor of the country's Supreme Court, local media reported on Thursday.
Prosecutor Georgia Adelini launched an investigation into the legislators from the Spartans party, as well as Ilias Kasidiaris, the former deputy leader of the Golden Dawn group, according to state-run news agency AMNA.
The probe came after the Spartans' leader, Vasilios Stiga, filed a public complaint claiming that Kasidiaris was directing the party from behind the scenes,
According to the prosecutor, evidence has been uncovered showing that Kasidiaris, secretly guided the lawmakers while they were running in elections. He is also accused of incitement to commit fraud in the case.
The prosecutor also ordered the prosecution of the lawyer Sotirios Metaxas over involvement in the contacts between Kasidiaris and the lawmakers.
