Hezbollah claims 6 new attacks on military sites in northern Israel
Attacks came amid Israeli strikes that have killed more than 60 people, injured hundreds in Lebanon since Monday

BEIRUT (AA) - Lebanon’s Hezbollah group said Thursday it carried out six drone and missile attacks on military sites in northern Israel as well as Israeli forces inside southern Lebanon.
In a series of statements, Hezbollah said its fighters targeted with rockets a gathering of Israeli troops at the Talat al-Ajl site north of the Kfar Yuval settlement and the Ya’ra military barracks in northern Israel.
The group said it struck Israeli soldiers with a guided missile at the Blat border military site in southern Lebanon.
Two rounds of rockets were also fired at Israeli forces advancing from the Manara site toward the town of Markaba in southern Lebanon, causing casualties, Hezbollah said.
Rocket attacks also targeted the Rafael military industries complex south of Acre in northwestern Israel and military positions in the Galilee in northern Israel.
The Israeli army has mounted a series of airstrikes across Lebanon since Monday, killing more than 70 people and injuring over 600 others following cross-border attacks by Hezbollah.
The escalation followed an Israeli-US offensive on Iran, which has killed more than 900 people since Saturday, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and top military officials. Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries, which are home to US assets.
Israel has repeatedly violated a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, signed in November 2024, carrying out near-daily strikes that have left hundreds dead and wounded.
Israel began its offensive against Lebanon in October 2023 and escalated it into a full-scale war in September 2024, killing more than 4,000 people and wounding about 17,000.
