ISTANBUL (AA) - Hezbollah said Saturday evening that it had targeted the Atar military industries company near the northern Israeli city of Sakhnin with a barrage of rockets.

In a statement, the group said it struck the “Atar military industries company near Sakhnin with a rocket barrage.”

In other statements, Hezbollah claimed it fired rockets at the Ma'ale Golani military base in northern Israel.

Israeli soldier positions in the woods of the Dan settlement in Upper Galilee, northern Israel, were also targeted with a large rocket barrage.

The group also reported targeting the Sa'sa settlement in the Upper Galilee area of northern Israel with two Falaq-2 rockets and the Ramat David airbase with a volley of Fadi-1 rockets.

Hezbollah also reported targeting an Israeli Merkava tank as it advanced near the Maroun Woods with a guided missile, claiming a direct hit that resulted in casualties among its crew.

Hezbollah and Israel have been engaged in cross-border warfare since the start of Israel's war on Gaza, which has killed over 41,800 people, most of them women and children, following an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas last October.

At least 2,036 people have since been killed, over 9,500 injured, and 1.2 million others displaced, according to Lebanese authorities.

The international community has warned that Israeli attacks in Lebanon could escalate the Gaza conflict into a wider regional war.
