Hezbollah says another member killed on Lebanese-Israeli border

BEIRUT (AA) – Lebanese group Hezbollah said Monday one more member had been killed in clashes with Israeli forces on Lebanon’s border with Israel.

The group, however, did not provide any details about the circumstances leading to its member’s death.

Tension has flared along the border between Israel and Lebanon amid intermittent exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.

At least 61 Hezbollah members have been killed in cross-border clashes since Oct. 8.

The Israeli army has expanded its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Palestine group Hamas on Oct. 7.

More than 11,300 people have been killed in the conflict, including at least 9,770 Palestinians and nearly 1,600 Israelis.
