Hoax bomb threat force spectators to evacuate Olympic stadium in South Korea

ANKARA (AA) - A hoax bomb threat forced the spectators to evacuate an Olympic gymnastics stadium in eastern Seoul on Sunday, local media reported.

No explosives were found and no one was hurt, Seoul-based Yonhap News reported citing the police.

The police received the threat through a fax, which prompted authorities to send bomb disposal squad to search the KSPO Dome, or the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, in the Songpa district.

It came hours before K-pop boy group The Boyz was scheduled to hold a concert there later in the day.

Making threats to harm an unspecified number of people is punishable by up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won ($14,400).
