Houthis launch 2 anti-ship ballistic missiles into Red Sea: US
No injuries or damage reported, says US Central Command, after Houthis launch missiles from Yemen in past 24 hours

WASHINGTON (AA) - The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Tuesday that the Houthi group launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBM) from Yemen into the Red Sea in the past 24 hours.
"This continued malign and reckless behavior by the Iranian-backed Houthis threatens regional stability and endangers the lives of mariners across the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden," CENTCOM said in a statement.
No injuries or damage were reported by US, coalition or commercial ships, it added.
The Houthis have been targeting Israeli-linked cargo ships in the Red Sea in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been under an Israeli onslaught since Oct. 7 last year.
The Red Sea is one of the world's most frequently used sea routes for oil and fuel shipments.
Earlier this year, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced a multinational mission, Operation Prosperity Guardian, to counter Houthi attacks.
