Houthis threaten to target Saudi Arabia, UAE if Saudi-led coalition does not stop attacks in Yemen

By Abdullah Ahmed

SANAA (AA) - Yemen's Houthi rebel group on Wednesday vowed to launch more attacks on Saudi Arabia and target vital installations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a news conference, Yahya Sarei, the military spokesman for the group, reclaimed responsibility for the attack on the two Saudi oil facilities of Aramco.

The remarks came in response to a recent Saudi announcement stressing Iran's involvement in the attack.

He vowed further attacks against Saudi Arabia and the UAE, threatening to burn more facilities and vital targets if the Saudi-led coalition's "aggression" continued.

He asserted that his group has a database of dozens of targets in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

On Saturday, armed drones struck two facilities of Saudi Arabia's oil company Aramco.

Since March 2015, the Arab military coalition led by Saudi Arabia, along with a heavy involvement of the UAE, launched military operations in Yemen to support the legitimate forces of the Yemeni government in their fight against the Houthi rebels backed by Iran.
